凤凰山国家矿山公园位于龙岗区平湖街道，公园总面积为88 .13 万平方米，公园所处区域属丘陵地貌，地势西北高，东南低，有着较为复杂的地质构造背景。
Situated in Pinghu Street, Longgang District, Mount Phoenix National Mine Park covers a total area of 881.3 square meters. Area where the Park locates is a kind of hilly topography, higher on the northwest and lower on the southeast with complex geologic structure.
凤凰山国家矿山公园是我国第一批28个国家矿山公园之一,以凤凰山公园和芙蓉花园式矿场为背景，重点开发露天矿区景观和凤凰山人文景观，将城市公园与矿山遗迹相结合，以独具特色的矿业遗迹资源为主体景观特色，结合公园内美丽的复绿景观资源，重点体现矿业发展历史内涵，具有研究价值和教育功能，集知识性、艺术性、体验性于一体的旅游项目。
Mount Phoenix National Mine Park is among of the first batch of 28 national mine parks of China. On the background of Mount Phoenix Park and Furong garden-type Furong Mine Site, it is focused on developing the strip mine landscape and Mount Phoenix Cultural Scenery. Connecting urban park with mining relics and taking unique mine relic resource as main landscape feature, Mount Phoenix National Mine Park is aimed at showing essence of the development history of mining on the base of reconstruction of beautiful green landscape resource in the Park. Based on its research value and education function, Mount Phoenix National Mine Park is a tourism project integrating knowledge, art, and experience.
公园把生态环境整治和矿业遗迹特色作为公园的两大主题，加强景观与城市旅游的结合，把公园建成“都市中的矿山”、“矿区中的公园”， 以平湖地方文化为基础，以矿山文化为主题，营造凤凰山人文环境，以此体现“凤凰山”的精神特质；“延山引水”全面贯彻生态理念，达到“身心合一,天心合一”的最高境界。
The Park takes ecological environment improvement and mining relic feature as two major themes and enhances combination of landscape and urban tourism so as to build the Park into a mine in the city and park in the mine. Based on Pinghu local culture and selecting mine culture as theme, Mountain Phoenix cultural environment is being created to express the spirit feature of Mountain Phoenix. The ecological thought of mountain extension and water Persion is carried out completely to reach the highest state of “harmony of body and mind and harmony of nature and mind”.
